A man in his 30s was found unresponsive on Benets Road in Hornchurch and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The Metropolitan Police are treating his death as unexpected/unexplained and are continuing with further enquiries. The man’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

The latest official figures show a jump in the number of people unemployed and claiming benefit in Dagenham and Rainham. The number of people in the constituency who are unemployed and in receipt of related unemployment benefits stood at 4,605 in March 2024.

Pouya Akhbari, a locum trauma and orthopaedic consultant at Barking,Havering and Redbridge University Hospital Trust, completed the London Marathon on Sunday 21 April to raise funds for King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity.

Police Investigate Incident in Upminster

In the early hours of Tuesday, a 29-year-old man was found injured in Upminster. Police and medical responders acted swiftly, ensuring he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. London News: East London man jailed for offences related to children including downloading a paedophile manual to give advice on how to commit offences against children as young as two months.

Havering Council admit to technical error and apologise after entire car parks given parking fines despite residents payments.

On Friday 19 April, a council owned car park in Collier Row saw a parking warden ticket every vehicle in the car park with angry residents showing the warden that they had clearly paid. The warden once again stated ‘he didn’t care’ and that residents had to appeal.
